Preston Cooper always liked listening to music when he was growing up, but it wasn’t until a fateful meeting in high school that it truly became a passion for him and the thing he knew he wanted to pursue as a career for the rest of his life.

“So, it was freshman year of high school, and I went in a guitar and recording class, and I met my best friend, Eli Patrick. He’s a crazy guitar player and he taught me how to play guitar. And that’s kind of where it started. Then I went home, and I’d play for two to three hours at a time. My fingers were bleeding and I just loved it so much, and I wouldn’t stop playing. And then I started singing. Just, somethin’ about it I loved. And sophomore year, I played the variety show, and it was my first time ever in front of an audience and it just was so captivating to me to be up there singing for people. And that’s like what I definitely wanted to do.”
