If you follow Tim McGraw on social media, you’ve seen him post videos of him and his band covering all kinds of songs in the dressing room before or after a show. For Tim, those backstage jam sessions are just a fun way to sing songs he doesn’t normally sing, to share some of the music he grew up listening to and loving or to cover a current song he’s diggin’, in his own style.

“You know, we have fun with those things. When we’re out on the road we love doing that. I mean, I’m a huge fan of music in general, particularly country music, and you throw a song at me, I can probably figure out a way to sing one or two lines of it anyway. But we love doing that and finding something obscure or something that we love or something that we remember from when we were kids or something we remember when we were coming up in the music business, and trying to put our own spin on it.”
