debut single: “NO TELLIN’”
Caroline Jones just released her debut solo single, “No Tellin’,” but some people may recognize her as the only female member of the Zac Brown Band. Caroline has been making her own music for a long time, and her sound has been described as kind of a singer/songwriter, rootsy, raw, acoustic kind of country, which is definitely a lot different than the music she makes with the Zac Brown Band, but she explains how the two worlds work together in her life and why she wants to pursue her solo career while still being a part of the Zac Brown Band.

“What’s cool is over the years it’s been influenced by more of the live, like raw energy. They’ve given me a lot of gumption. I feel like I was a lot more timid before I joined the band, and now I have a lot more experience under my belt and they’ve just encouraged me to take more musical risks. But you know, I talked to Zac when I joined the band and I was very forthcoming about the fact that I would be and will be pursuing my solo career forever. And if anyone understands that, it’s Zac. When you’re compelled by a dream and an artistry that’s in your heart like you can’t just turn that off. So, this is something that I’m gonna be doing forever, no matter what the success is or isn’t, or anything, I’m gonna be making records and writing them and putting them out forever.”
