debut single: “NO TELLIN’”

It’s summertime, and some great summer memories for Caroline Jones are when she got to open for Jimmy Buffett. Obviously, Jimmy’s shows were always a beachy island vibe and a lot of fun, but for Caroline, it was an incredible opportunity to be able to tour with and learn from such a legend.

“He is such a huge inspiration. I mean he, at 74 and 75 when I was touring with him, was out there like a little kid every day, so passionate, so focused on the set list, so focused on his audience’s experience and lifestyle. It was just authentic to him. It was who he was in New Orleans, Louisiana, and he’s such a bigger than life character and I’m so lucky to have known him. And I actually wish now that I’m a few years older. It makes me sad I can’t call him up and ask him to tell me more stories. It’s like, you know, I was in my 20s, so I appreciated at the time the opportunity and I obviously took all that I could from him, but then as you get older, you find out all these other stories and you’re like, damn, I wish he was still around, you know? So, I love Jimmy. He’ll always have a really special place in my heart.”
