current single: “I DARE YOU” with The Jonas Brothers
Rascal Flatts is celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band, and they are showing no signs of slowing down or retiring. They just wrapped up their Life Is A Highway Tour, they’re getting ready to release their new Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets album on June 6th, featuring their latest single, “I Dare You” with the Jonas Brothers, and they’ve got several festival dates planned this summer. Even when they took a break as a band, the guys all stayed busy with their solo endeavors, and Jay DeMarcus thinks making music in one way or another will always be a part of their life.
Rascal Flatts – ever slow down :25
Jay DeMarcus – “We actually have guys going out now in our place, it’s not us on the road. We stay at home, they have earpieces in, we kind of tell ‘em what to say, tell ‘em what to sing. I don’t think we’ll ever be one of those bands that can’t play and make music somehow. And it may be years from now that we’re just doing the Opry a few times a year, and old men just sittin’ on our porch, getting’ around playing with our guitars. But I think the three of us will be making music somehow until one of us kicks the bucket.”
