(AUDIO) JACKSON DEAN SAW HIS LATEST SINGLE AS SOON AS HE HEARD THE TITLE

current single: “HEAVENS TO BETSY

Jackson Dean was born in the year 2000, so when he first heard one of his co-writers of his latest single say the phrase “Heavens to Betsy,” it wasn’t something he had ever heard before, and he didn’t know what it meant. But as soon as he heard it, the vision for his latest song came into focus.

Jackson Dean – vision for Betsy :26

“The first thing that I saw when that came out of Driver Williams’ mouth – as he walked through the door, he looked at me and said, ‘Heavens to Betsy, boy, what do you think of that as a song title?’ And I took it pretty literal, and the first thing that popped into my head was the picture frame of a dad sittin’ on the outskirts of heaven with a CB, sittin’ there on a cloud, talkin’ down to his daughter lookin’ for redemption in his own way. And that first verse reads thus, ‘Heavens to Betsy, I don’t know if you can hear me, but up here you’re coming in clear as a bell.”
