Brantley Gilbert knows his appearance probably makes him look a little menacing or scary to some people. The truth is, ask anyone who knows Brantley and they will tell you he is one of the nicest guys. Some might even blow his cover and tell you that he’s a big teddy bear. But Brantley does laugh when he thinks about the fact that to his kids, his tattoos and piercings and all black attire are just how daddy looks, and he wonders how that will impact their perception of other guys they encounter.

You know, when your dad looks like this, if Jake from State Farm walks up, my kids are probably gonna panic and run to me or Amber, one, and be like, ‘Stranger danger!’ You know. ‘This dude’s wearin’ a polo shirt. What the hell is that?’”
