Chip Esten plays the hard living character Deacon Claybourne on ABC’s Nashville and he says he has very little in common with his character in real life. “I’m very different than Deacon in many, many ways, but there’s a lot of ‘there but for the grace of God go I.’” A few different life choices and perhaps they would be more alike, but Chip says, “He’s had it harder than I’ve probably had it so it’s taken its toll and he’s got his demons that he battles and I guess everybody does, but I’m pretty different. But I’m glad for it.”
Don’t miss Nashville every Wednesday night on ABC.

Chip Esten – different from Deacon :19
