Growing up, Callista Clark and her siblings would perform around her tiny hometown in Georgia, often for older crowds, and thanks to her mom, she says, “Something that I learned really early on in my music career is that you definitely want to cater to your audience and whatever they want to hear. The hard balance is making it still true to yourself.”
Fortunately for young Callista, the songs the older crowds wanted to hear her and her siblings sing were songs from artists she actually liked. Even at nine years old she loved R&B, classic rock and 80’s & 90’s country, so it wasn’t hard for her to please the crowds and remain true to herself because she says, “That was my favorite kinds of music, and it still is now. All the classic rock and the country, that is what I love, truly.”
