CURRENT SINGLE: “Old School’s In”
Heath Sanders’ debut single is “Old School’s In,” and he says, “When I explained what I wanted to write about, it was really just going back to my hometown and harkening back to my raisin’. We still live on dirt roads out there.”
One of the things Heath wanted to get across in the song was the concept of hard work and using your means to survive. “Back home when I was a kid, you didn’t own a dog as a pet,” Heath explains. “You owned a dog that served purposes. He either worked cows or he treed squirrels or he could sniff up a deer trail from a long ways off. You know, the dogs still hunt thing, and just, the men man up. I mean, you’ve got to out there. It’s all a matter of survival.”
“Old School’s In” is the first release off Heath’s debut EP, called Common Ground, which is available now, wherever you stream or download music.
