Avenue Beat just released their debut single, “Ruin That for Me,” which is a fun, quirky, sassy song about not letting a break up ruin the things you used to like to do with your ex, or the places you liked to go. For those unfamiliar with Avenue Beat and their brand of country music, we asked them to describe their sound in terms or where they fit on the country music spectrum between Midland and Sam Hunt, and Sami Bearden said, “We like to jump rope with the spectrum. I don’t know. We like to take elements of like, classic country, like harmonies, and the way we write songs, but also mix that with some more modern production, because Savana knows the coolest stuff. I mean, I would expect a good blend, a good mix. Expect the unexpected.”
Sam Backoff adds, “We’ve got your quirky box for you, but then we’ve also got the heart-wrenching, sad bangers. So, you know, there’s something for everyone.”
You can hear more of Avenue Beat’s sound on their self-titled debut EP, which is available wherever you stream or download your music.
