(AUDIO) NOAH SCHNACKY BELIEVES HATE NOT HOPE SHOULD MOTIVATE YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS

When it comes to making New Year’s resolutions, Noah Schnacky is not about it.  He says, “Number one I don’t believe in them, and number two it’s because I suck at them, that’s it. Like I remember when I was 14 saying I was gonna get abs for the next year, and I never got abs, I’ll tell you that. I don’t know man, it’s never gone well for me … never gone well. It just turns out I’m the same person every single year and I’m trying to do the same things every single year.”

If you are planning to make a New Year’s resolution, Noah has some words of wisdom his mentor shared with him that might help you. “This is probably pretty deep,” Noah warns, “but one of my mentors told me the other day that hate of something has motivated people way more than hope ever has. That’s really true. Like hoping to have abs has never motivated anybody as much as hating to be overweight has.  And like for me, the times in my life where I really needed to get into shape, it wasn’t because I was hoping to be something great. It was like hating that I wasn’t doing what I needed to do because I knew my soul needed it.”

So no matter what it is you resolve to do, if it’s rooted in hate, Noah believes you will be much more successful, because he says, “If you don’t hate it enough, like, a date on a calendar isn’t going to change that. It’s gotta be something inside you, something inside your soul that clicks and you’re like, ‘That’s it. I can’t do this anymore.’”

While he doesn’t believe in making resolutions, we do know that Noah is heading into 2020 ready to get his debut single, “I’ll be the One,” heard by as many people as possible, and ready to share even more new music with fans that’s he’s been working on in the studio this year.

Noah Schnacky – New Year’s Eve  1:04

“There’s a two-part answer. Number one I don’t believe in them, and number two it’s because I suck at them, that’s it. Like I remember when I was 14 saying I was gonna get abs for the next year, and I never got abs, I’ll tell you that. I don’t know man, it’s never gone well for me … never gone well. It just turns out I’m the same person every single year and I’m trying to do the same things every single year. This is probably pretty deep, but one of my mentors told me the other day that hate of something has motivated people way more than hope ever has. That’s really true. Like hoping to have abs has never motivated anybody as much as hating to be overweight has.  And like for me, the times in my life where I really needed to get into shape, it wasn’t because I was hoping to be something great. It was like hating that I wasn’t doing what I needed to do because I knew my soul needed it.  And that really changed my perspective, cause when you put a new year’s resolution a lot of times it come s from a root of hope and you need to hope for it because you hate something.  And if you don’t hate it enough, like, a date on a calendar isn’t going to change that.  It’s gotta be something inside you, something inside your soul that clicks and you’re like, ‘That’s it. I can’t do this anymore.’”
