(AUDIO) Steven Tyler Appreciates The Pace of Country Music Touring

Steven Tyler recently went on a two month tour with his band, Aerosmith, and in some ways it hardly seemed like a tour, compared to the way they used to tour. He says, “It’s two months. I don’t think we’ve ever done a two-month tour. At home on my wall I’ve got the tickets from the ‘Get A Grip’ tour, and we were out for a year.”

Steven has noticed that country artists tend to run their tours a bit differently, which may be why their home lives are more successful than some rock stars. He says, “In Nashville they go, like Tim McGraw, they go out for Friday, Saturday, Sundays off and Monday they’re home for the whole week with the kids. And look and I go, really? Faith (Hill), no wonder you guys are happily married after all these years. You know, rock and roll goes out and we never come back.”

Steven is working on his debut country album, featuring his brand new single, “Red White and You,” and he’ll likely get to experience some of the country music touring style when he goes out to promote it.
