Most people know Steven Tyler as the front man for the rock group Aerosmith, and while it might seem like his transition into country music with his new song, “Love Is Your Name,” is a brand new direction for him, he says his appreciation for country music goes back to his childhood.
“Country music means so much to me because it’s the first records I ever sang along with, and that would be The Everly Brothers who first opened up my eyes to start singing way back at the age of nine.”
So in some ways, recording a country album is like bringing the musical journey full circle for Steven Tyler.
