(AUDIO) Steven Tyler Discovered “Love Is Your Name” At The Bluebird Cafe

Steven Tyler, front man of Aerosmith, just released his debut country song called “Love Is Your Name.” He explains that he discovered the song when he was invited to sing a couple of hits he penned for Aerosmith at The Bluebird Café. “I was invited to The Bluebird Café with Marti Frederiksen, who I wrote ‘Jaded’ with, to perform that song and another little ditty I wrote called, ‘Dream On’, on the piano, and after we were done this beautiful young lady sat down and did a song called, ‘Love Is Your Name’. Well, I fell in love with it that night.”

It just so happened that Scott Borchetta, the President and CEO of Big Machine Label Group was at The Bluebird that night. He introduced himself to Steven, and Steven says he told Scott, “You know, that’s been on the back burner of mine for years, to do a Country record.”

Steven, who is working on his first country album for Dot Records says, “So I joined up with him and the rest is gonna be history.”
